Alana Vigna is a dedicated Indigenous Relations and Socio-Cultural Planner with a Master of Resource and Environmental Management from Dalhousie University. She has over a decade of experience specializing in impact assessments, land use planning, and community engagement with federal and territorial governments. Her experience in engagement extends across the country, from Nunavut, Northwest Territories, to Ontario and Atlantic Canada. She has an understanding of the economic, social, and governance structures within Indigenous communities across Canada. She helps integrate Indigenous consultation and perspectives into complex environmental and impact assessment processes. She has developed various tools for engagement, including fact sheets, plain-language summaries, and infographics, to facilitate meaningful dialogue. Alana has been supporting both the Aboriginal and Treaty Rights and Consultation disciplines for the Marten Falls Community Access Road Project.
