Sita Chinnadurai

Sita Chinnadurai is a Project Manager with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, currently on assignment as a Policy Advisor. She played a key role in coordinating and delivering federal impact assessments of major infrastructure projects in northern Ontario, including the Webequie Supply Road and Marten Falls Community Access Road projects in the Ring of Fire region. Her experience includes multidisciplinary environmental assessments, support for Indigenous consultation, and collaboration with federal and provincial authorities on federal impact assessments. She brings practical experience in implementing the federal impact assessment process and an operational perspective to ongoing policy development.

As impact assessment practice continues to evolve, practitioners are increasingly challenged to balance rigorous analysis with efficient, focused processes that meet the needs of regulators, proponents, Indigenous communities, and other participants. An interactive audience exercise will invite participants to explore opportunities to improve future practice in this context.
